Miscreants have stabbed an Awami League leader, who was stabbed to death in Jessore’s Jhikargacha, Siddiqur Rahman, 55.

The deceased Siddiqur Rahman is the Vice-President of Bankura Union Awami League and former UP member of the former BaliaDanga Khosla Nagar ward.

It is learned that on Sunday night, Siddiqur Rahman was seriously injured in stabbing the miscreants. After taking the 250-bed Jessore Hospital to Jessore, the duty doctor declared him dead.

Inspector of Bankra Police Investigation Center Shikdar Matiar Rahman confirmed that Siddiqur had multiple injuries in the body.
